A man from Ariyankuppam, Puducherry used to fight with his wife often and would suspect her of having alleged relationships with other men. Due to this, the women along with her two daughters, aged 15 and 18 used to stay separately in a rented house in Muthialpet.

The husband even then used to show up drunk and demanded money. When denied, he would publicly shame his wife with accusations.
