Billionaire Zhong Shashan has become Asia’s richest person leaving behind Chinese tech titans Jack Ma and Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, Zhong’s net worth has reached to $77.8 billion. Now, he is the 11th richest person on earth. In September Zhong replaced Jack Ma as China’s richest man.
Zhong’s Nongfu Spring, which claims to be number one in China’s massive bottled water market, is found everywhere across the country where most of the people deny tap water for their health purpose. Thus, the company economy was raised nearly by $1.1 billion in its initial public offering.

Zhong, a 66 year old, former reporter from Zhejiang stated that once he used to work as a construction worker. Chinese media has even gave him a name as a ‘Lone wolf’ for his rare appearance and reluctance in public.
He is also the Chairman of Beijing Wantai Biological Pharmacy Co. Ltd. In this pharmacy vaccine is manufactured which listed on the mainland in April. They are working in conjunction with a prominent University to develop a Covid – 19 vaccine nasal spray.
