Prime Minister Modi does his first dose of Coronavirus Vaccine, encourages eligible to take the vaccine

PM Narendra Modi took his COVID shot at AIIMS Delhi developed by Bharat Biotech And Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
PM Modi tweeted “Took my first does of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS”. He also added “Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time strengthen the global fight against COVID-19” sharing a picture of himself taking the does.
PM Modi also appealed to all eligible to take the vaccine saying “Together, let us make India COVID-19 free!” Sisters from Kerala and Puducherry administered Bharat Biotech’s covaxin to PM Modi.

India will start its coronavirus vaccination program from today onwards according to the appropriate age. For Government facility beneficiaries the vaccine will be free of cost, while private facilities will charge Rs250 per person per dose.
Registration will open at 9am and citizen will be able to book an appointment for vaccination anytime anywhere. A user guide for the citizen registration and uploaded
on website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and National Health Authority (NHA).
