What Happens If You Put Diesel In A Petrol Car?
First The Difference Between Petrol And Diesel Engine
A petrol engine has a spark plug that creates spark and ignites the petrol that has evaporated and mixed with air inside engine.
A diesel engine doesn't have any spark plug. The piston of the engine compresses the diesel so much that the diesel catches fire due to heat generated during compression.
If there is little petrol and lots of diesel in the tank, the car will start producing a lot of heavy smoke quickly since diesel doesn't burn completely, and will quit running.
