Paras Khadka was born in 24 October 1987 in Kathmandu. He played for Nepal in Under-15 in Dec 2002 and Under-19 in 2003 in Karachi. Khadka played his first Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh in 2004. He made his international debut in the senior side in April 2004 against Malaysia.
In 2005, Nepal won the 2005 ACC Under-19 Cup after beating Malaysia in the final. The tournament was held in Nepal. Winning the 2005 ACC Under-19 Cup, they qualified for the 2006 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup which was to be held in Sri Lanka.
The Under-19 team of Nepal became the Plate Champions of 2006 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup defeating a Test Nation New Zealand by 1 wicket.
Paras then went on to play the 2006 ACC Trophy for the senior side in Kuala Lumpur. In 2007, Nepal won the ACC Under-19 Cup after Afghanistan in the finals.
He was the captain of the Nepal in the 2008 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in Malaysia. Under him, Nepal won the 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division Five.
He went on to play for Ontario Cricket Academy and Club in Canada for a four month spell in May 2012. On 2013, he rejoined the club as a Vice-captain.
In the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, he scored 254 runs in 8 innings at an average of 50.80.
He scored his maiden century in the 2012 ACC Trophy Elite which Nepal won. In the tournament, Paras Khadka made 291 runs, averaging at 72.75 and also picked up 9 wickets. He was the Player of the Tournament. Under him, Nepal won the 2012 ICC World Cricket League Division Four which was held in Malaysia.
In the 2013 ACC Twenty20 Cup he was again the Player of the Tournament. Nepal won the 2013 ICC World Cricket League Division Three under him.
Nepal made their first World Cup appearance in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20. In the tournament, Khadka made 41 runs in both matches against Hong Kong and Bangladesh.

After gaining the ODI status, Nepal played their first ODI match against Netherlands. Paras captained the team and made his ODI debut for Nepal in 1 August 2018.
Paras Khadka resigned as the Nepal team captain on 15 October 2019. After his resignation he was signed by the Abu Dhabi Team for 2019 T10 League.
