New dress code formed by Maharashtra Government to its employees
According to the new rules formed by the Maharashtra government, women are only supposed to wear saree, salwar,churidar-kurtha or trousers with a kurta or a shirt and a dupatta if necessary.

As per new rules, the workers aren’t allowed to wear clothes with deep colours and strange patterns and pictures. Women should wear saree, salwar, churidar-kurtha or trousers with a kurta or a shirt and a dupatta if required. Whereas, men should wear trousers and shirt. Employees have to wear khadi once a week as per new order.

New dress code formed by Maharashtra Government to its employees

Women are supposed wear sandals or shoes instead of slippers. Similarly, men should wear shoes and sandals.
This is not the first time that a government had made some new changes in a dress code. This year on July 20, the government of Madhya Pradesh declared the new rules for the government officials and the employees in the state Gwalior division. Government banned employees from wearing faded jeans and t-shirt in office. They were given order to wear dignified, decent and formal attire.
In the same way, in 2019, Bihar government banned wearing jeans and t-shirt in the state secretariat, irrespective of the employee’s rank.
In 2018, the Rajasthan government came up with a dress code for students. Students were asked to wear salwar kameez or sarees on the college premises rather than western clothes. However, rules was revoked as students complained a lot about facing issues.
