Coronavirus: Lockdown in India, 5,000 cases reported in Delhi
Corona Virus leads to lockdown in India. Today, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan will be meeting his department members from eleven hotspot States/UTs. This meeting will also set the agenda for Thursday’s meeting where PM Narendra Modi will discuss about the ways to contain the COVID-19 spike with state CMs and UTs administrators.

Coronavirus: Lockdown in India, 5,000 cases reported in Delhi

In India the situation of COVID-19 has became disheartening day by day. The cases of Corona virus is crossing the one lack mark for the first time since last year nation pandemic struck. Only in two weeks the COVID-19 cases has increased daily over 1,00,000 from 20,000.
More than half of total cases in India has alone accounted from Maharashtra. The state even declared night curfew yesterday and announced lockdown for a week to break the chain.
Even in some of the states of India like Punjab, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, etc have announced night curfew along with several restrictions in order to control the spread of the second wave of Corona virus infections.
As per the reports, the Delhi government is also planning to announce for a night curfew after the recent surge in Corona virus infections. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwalhas urged PM Narendra Modi to remove the age limit for Covid-19 vaccination in the country to vaccinate more people. Some health experts have demanded for the removal of the age criteria for taking the Covid vaccine.
